POSITION OVERVIEW:

If you have a proven history of increasing responsibilities and are now confident enough to pursue bigger challenges, stronger culture, and a clearer path to growth in your product career—this is the role for you.

You'll work directly with the Head of Product Development and be responsible for a key product portfolio from the cradle to the grave: everything from pitching a new idea to managing a multi-year roadmap and the thorough details of successfully launching a market changing product.

Of course, in addition to aiding in strategizing, implementing, and analyzing our ongoing product management objectives.

By virtue of your position, you will learn everything about how an industry-driving product department works. This is not a siloed position. You will support and help drive projects impacting all of our departments, which is everything you would expect from a highly functioning product team.

We expect you to immediately apply your skill sets to organize and drive results for your products.  As you are able to integrate into the company product ethos, you will elevate to high level ownership of the product roadmap and the future direction of Revic Optics.

Although we are part of the Gunwerks organization, you can consider Revic Optics a fledgling organization, almost a startup, so this could lead to you heading up entire departments or teams. We have no problem fast-tracking people who work hard and produce results.

In fact, we not only hope you move up, we expect you to move up. If you aren't doing something more challenging and crucial in the company in 18-24 months, it means you aren't the right person for this role.

The Details

Location: Cody, WY (You'll learn faster if you're around the team)

Type of Employment: Full-time

Salary: $85-125,000/year + performance bonuses

Necessary Skills and Qualifications   

  • Here's a list of primary skills we believe are necessary for this career:
    • 5+ years of experience in product management or product engineering inclusive of applicable education.

    • This role is NOT for people who want their first job in product management. This is for experienced, product professionals who want to see how an innovative product team actually works to scale a bootstrapped and profitable startup.

    • Truly craves a startup environment where we are learning, iterating, and shipping things quickly

    • Experience with Project Management software is a plus, but not required. But you will be required to become proficient in it.

    • A self-starter; you learn quickly, absorb like a sponge, and take action

    • A problem-solver; uses frameworks to rigorously define and analyze problems, creating solutions

    • Always intrigued by the things others don’t notice, always searching for the elegantly simple solutions, and up for a debate.
