What You’ll Be Doing as a Human Resources Manager:
- Lead comprehensive Human Resources strategies encompassing talent acquisition, employee development, performance management, compensation, benefits, recognition, and culture initiatives to attract, retain, and motivate a high-performing team.
- Develop and execute effective recruiting strategies to attract top talent, manage the full-cycle recruitment process, and optimize time-to-hire.
- Design and implement employee development programs including skills training, career pathing, and leadership development, fostering a culture of continuous learning.
- Cultivate a positive and inclusive work environment by promoting consistent communication, feedback mechanisms, and recognition programs that boost morale and reduce turnover.
- Partner with leadership to develop and implement a people strategy document that aligns employee performance with company goals and optimizes the employee journey.
- Lead change management initiatives to ensure smooth transitions during organizational changes, such as system updates, process improvements, and team restructures.
- Manage compensation and benefits programs to ensure external competitiveness, internal equity, cost-effectiveness, and compliance with applicable laws and regulations.
- Analyze market trends and survey data to recommend compensation adjustments and benefit program modifications.
- Oversee the administration of health and wellness programs and manage relationships with benefit brokers, carriers, and other vendors.
- Utilize data-driven approaches to track key performance indicators (KPIs) such as employee satisfaction, turnover rate, and training effectiveness.
- Lead, motivate, and develop direct reports within the Human Resources team.
Skills and Experience You’ll Need as a Human Resources Manager:
- Bachelor’s degree in human resources, business, or a related field is required. Advanced degree preferred.
- Comprehensive knowledge of Human Resources strategies including talent acquisition, employee development, performance management, compensation, benefits, and culture initiatives.
- 5+ years of progressive human resources leadership experience, with direct experience in talent acquisition, compensation & benefit program design and management, employee development, and change management. An equivalent combination of education and experience may be considered.
- Proven ability to build and nurture high-performance teams.
- Demonstrated success in creating and implementing effective employee development and training programs.
- Strong understanding of change management principles and practices.
- Ability to provide leadership at both the strategic and operational levels.
- Comprehensive knowledge of compensation and benefit program concepts, design alternatives, and associated best practices.
- In-depth knowledge of benefits trends, program design alternatives, legislative impacts, and compliance requirements.
- Significant experience with competitive analysis and benchmarking of total compensation approaches.
- Strong analytical and quantitative skills and ability to challenge the status quo.
- Ability to analyze complex situations, develop alternatives, and make recommendations consistent with company objectives.
- Exemplary written, verbal, and interpersonal communication skills.
- Excellent leadership, problem-solving, time management, and organizational skills.
- Ability to manage internal staff, external resources, and vendors and work collaboratively across functions to achieve outcomes that support business objectives.
- Ability to balance employee needs and concerns with company values, goals, and objectives.
- Experience utilizing data and KPIs to drive Human Resources decisions.
